Some of the new changes I am working on here for my clients is a re-designed Wancket Studios Family Portrait Park. Our beautiful studio is located on 11 acres in Spring Grove, IL. We have such beautiful outdoor areas like the family portrait park and our wildflower meadow which will be blooming starting in about 3 weeks. I know we will be able to do outdoor portraits sooner than the studio portraits as social distancing is very easy outdoors. I decided to re-create parts of our Family area in case clients have been photographed out there before. I want to make sure it looks different so the art on their walls will be unique.
A few other changes will be, I will be wearing a mask to protect my clients as well as gloves. I have already ordered some very fun masks that children will love. At this time, I am only scheduling one session per day so I can have the studio, bathroom and changing areas completely cleaned after. (This is not so different as I always have cleaned anything that I use with children after each session) Now, it will be even more thorough. I also am using Zoom for all portrait and clothing consultations to avoid any additional trips to the studio. I have already been using Facetime with some of our clients that drive from the North Shore and Chicago areas to save them drive time.
These are just a few changes, of course we will want our clients to be vigilant as well and to reschedule if not feeling well, etc…
Though currently listed as non-essential, we know that leaving a legacy to your children and grandchildren through heirloom portraits are essential. Capturing all generations has never been more essential than now.
Now, let’s at least start chatting and planning your next portrait so as soon as it is safe and you are comfortable moving forward, we are ready.
Just like I am a work in progress, so is our new normal.
Be safe, Audrey
