Don't wait for toddlers to sit still! Their delightful energy is part of the exquisite portraits I create.  Your toddler's antics are what make them who they are.  Waiting because you are worried they will not listen could mean you miss this wonderful time frame that they have such joy and self expression.  Remember, as a photographer, I have seen it all and truly, I love a challenge.  Usually the hardest part of working with a toddler is getting them dressed, then it is all play time with me from there.  

Portraits of toddlers and Families with Toddlers are a specialty and a love of mine! I know how to capture their precious personalities, even when they're on the move.

So...Funny story on this session.  Client from Antioch, Il -grandchildren from Colorado.  Portrait session to capture Luna in a beautiful dress and also some with her sister who had portraits done with me when she was little.  Luna, a toddler, a typical toddler has her own opinion about participating.  She even decided that one of my light stands was her friend and would not go anywhere in my studio with it. (OK so maybe that was not typical) But as with all toddlers, giving them time and patience (of course bribery too) will win out.  It is worth the time, the experience and I just love winning at the end with a stunning portrait.
