With the extra time at home, I finally finished a project I have wanted to do for over a year. I wanted to have a coloring book for our Wancket Studios client's children when they visit the studio for their portraits. Wancket Studios is one of a kind and children are always delighted with our horses, barn cats and the other animals they see while here. I wanted to combine that part of the experience with teaching a little about art. So I am so excited to be getting our coloring books soon. Our Friends at Barrington Minuteman Press have been working with us in this endeavor.
In the meantime, I have uploaded a shorter version of it and would love it if you downloaded and printed a few of the pages for your kids to color. Then be sure to share them with me or tag Wancket Studios on Facebook and @audwancket on instagram. I cannot wait to see them.

The premise behind why I love to teach children about art:
Children are born creative and curious. Why then, do so many lose that part of them? I believe that children lose confidence in their abilities when they compare themselves to others. There are people that are born with pure artistic talent, just like there are those that can solve math equations in their head. The reality is that many great artists and mathematicians had to be taught the fundamentals needed to be confident and successful in these areas.
